 armchairs featuring distinctive X-shaped mahogany bases and newly upholstered in high-quality bouclé fabric. Designed as a modular seating system, the two armchairs can be joined together to form a sofa.

With their low profile and clean geometric lines, the 

 armchairs exemplify Pierre Guariche's refined and rational approach to post-war French design. The sculptural cross-shaped mahogany base supports a generously upholstered seat with balanced proportions, while the warm richness of the wood contrasts beautifully with the tactile softness of the bouclé upholstery. The exposed X-frame, both structural and decorative, is one of the model's defining characteristics.
