The Puzzle Table Lamp

Hala Matta was born in Beirut in 1970. After 20 fruitful years in the corporate world, she decides to pursue a career as a ceramicist. Trained in the studio of ceramicists Nathalie Khayat, Nevilsalha and Samar Mogharbel, Hala opened her own studio in 2015. She attended several advanced workshops in Europe. She is a firm believer in developing local craftsmanship and vernacular artistic productions. The studio founded by Hala Matta “Namika Atelier “ is a collaborative platform defending craftsmanship and ceramics as a mainstream artistic medium. Her work has been showcased in collective exhibitions in Beirut, Paris and Brussels. She lives and works in Beirut, Lebanon.
